However, his next opponent isn’t quite so easy – 8th Division Captain Kyouraku Shunsui, who makes a dramatic appearance complete with falling flower petals (courtesy of Nanao-chan). Remembering his Abuelo and the promise made to Ichigo that they’d fight for each others’ sake and die protecting what the other thought precious, Chad valiantly tries to fight the Captain but fails to defeat him, though managing to demolish the surroundings in the process of repeatedly missing Shunsui.
